When this hub arrived I plugged the five Ethernet cables into it, plugged in the Ethernet source connection and plugged the AC adapter into the wall outlet. It has worked ever since with no problem. I needed an Ethernet hub with more than four inputs because I had bought a new device with an Ethernet connection and there was no place to connect it. That was it.
